Wedding Dessert
Planning a wedding menu can be a very stressful event, and also challenging to your imagination. Everyone wants their wedding day to be special and memorable for themselves as well as their guest. Keep in mind that typically the guest will remember the last thing they ate or did before they left the event. With that being said, it is important to provide your guest with a memorable dessert so that they leave with a big smile on their face and a fond memory of the event. A candy buffet is the perfect solution to be able to provide something unique and memorable. The candy buffet is nice because it gives your guest several choices for their dessert, and also serves as a party favor. Candy buffets can be as simple as a few different candies, or a large table filled with glass apothecary jars filled with a large variety of the bride and grooms favorite candy. You can also have custom bags made with the name of the newlyweds on it, as well as the date for your guest to put their candy selections into. It is recommended that you go to a local candy store, or a specialty shop that specializes in candy buffets for your candy and containers. To help keep the cost down, there are some candy stores that will allow you to use the glass jars and scoops at no charge if you purchase all of the candy from their stores. A lot of wedding candy buffets are color coordinated with the same colors from the wedding invitations. You can accomplish this easily by using certain flavors of saltwater taffy, Sixlets, chocolate jems (similar to M&M’s, but less expensive), colored Jordan Almonds, colored rock candy, and any other candies that match the colors of your event. There are several options for your guest to put their candy selections into as they leave the event, there are takeout cartons that can be color coordinated with the wedding, color candy bags or even personalized plastic cups with lids. Either way you go, a wedding candy buffet is a perfect solution for a party favor as well as a dessert.
