Meat Smores, or poor man’s Triscuit fondue
There are really fun to make and cook in only 30 seconds. Start with thinly sliced beef or chicken, and marinate that in a lemon pepper marinade ( I used Newman’s Own.) Then lay out some crackers (I found Triscuits worked best) and coat with a little cheese spread, a small piece of lettuce and then some havarti cheese. Place a piece of the meat on a marshmellow fork and put it in the hotest part of the fire for about 30 seconds, flipping once. You know it’s done when it firms up and doesn’t flop around. then place it on top of the cheese, add another cracker and pull out the grilling fork. (Add some tomato if you want.) You can also make these with shrimp, bacon, pesto, ranch dressing blue cheese dressing, and lots more. try em and let me know what you think. Rob Barrett www.cookingfordads.net
