best fondue pot? burner for gelled fondue fuel or electric?

After a night out at the melting pot, of course I now want my own fondue set. When searching through my options I see that there are electric sets and also some that have burners you fill with gelled fondue fuel. I am wondering which type most would recommend. I am looking for a set that would be versatile enough to be used for cheese, meat/seafood, or chocolate. So if you have any recommendations that would be nice. Thanks for your help!
