Drawing on nearly two decades of success at its former location, the new Oceana offers bold American seafood in a modern and elegant space on W. 49th St., just west of Rockefeller Center. Our celebrated cuisine is driven by fresh, seasonal ingredients from the global pantry, and has earned a Michelin Star for four years in a row.

A pure and natural ethos characterizes the cooking style of Executive Chef Ben Pollinger. Bold flavors emerge from his innovative compositions, while simple preparations of whole fish and other offerings subtly tease the palate. Impeccable attention is paid to each element of the meal, with housemade breads, condiments, and smoke cured fish created and presented under his direction.

Sommeliers are on hand to recommend tasteful complements from our list of more than 500 curated wines, and our resident mixologist delights in fashioning exotic signature cocktails with a dazzling balance of flavors. Sumptuous and visually arresting desserts from Executive Pastry Chef Jansen Chan conclude the dining experience on a sublime note.

Our spacious venue provides a variety of options for lunch, dinner, cocktails, and small bites. Just steps from the theatre district, we offer a three-course prix fixe pre/post theatre menu and can pace the service of your meal to suit your plans in any of the restaurant’s distinct areas. The Cafe offers casual seating with a lavish marble Raw Bar as its centerpiece, showcasing the day’s selection of the freshest seafood. Also featured are a vibrant full-service cocktail Bar and three unique settings for private dining in addition to the main dining room: The Wine Room, The Grand Salon, and The Chef’s Table. During the warmer months, The Cafe extends outside to our refreshing Patio, while The Park at Oceana provides sultry outdoor seating for private events under a canopy of sky.

With an ambience of grandeur and intimacy, exceptional cuisine, and attentive service, Oceana satisfies diners of all appetites. Experience the seduction of seafood and more at the new Oceana.

Guide Review – Il Laboratorio del Gelato: Ice Cream Review
The biggest challenge when visiting Il Laboratorio del Gelato is deciding which of the 20+ daily flavors to have. Fortunately, they allow you to taste several before committing.

On my most recent visit, I tried cayenne (spicy and warm) and black mission fig gelatos before settling on a small cup with canteloupe and fuji apple sorbets. The sorbets at Laboratorio always impress me with their freshness and ability to taste genuinely like the fruits they feature. My companion tried avocado gelato (which she said was outstanding) and mexican cinnamon gelato, deciding the cinnamon gelato and some lime fresh mint gelato would be her flavors of choice. Lucky for me, she shared a taste, and both were amazing.

For the more timid, they of course offer more typical flavors, like vanilla and chocolate gelatos, as well as raspberry and coconut sorbets. The servings are deceptively appropriate — savoring each bite, even a small dish is very satisfying.
